Description
Born in 1946, Clara Bates Wingfield grew up in the Louisville neighborhood in Marietta, Georgia. She attended Lemon Street Elementary School and Lemon Street High School. After graduation she attended Morris Brown College before taking a job as a telephone operator and later a service representative for Southern Bell and AT&T. She retired from Macy’s. Born in 1945, Chares Wingfield, Jr. grew up in the Fort Hill Homes housing project on Lemon Street in Marietta, Georgia. He attended Lemon Street Elementary School and Lemon Street High School. After high school Wingfield served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for General Motors for 38 years. He lives in Powder Springs, Georgia, today.
