    Description
    Page one of this newspaper has an account of the Battle of Bloody Marsh in July 1742, a decisive victory of the Spanish in the War of Jenkins' Ear. The battle took place near Fort Frederica, Georgia, and the British troops were led by colony founder James Oglethorpe.
