Description
Rabbi Steven Lebow was born on March 18, 1955 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Rabbi Lebow attended Kenyon College where he met his mentor Eugen Kullmann, a professor of religion at Kenyon College, and founded the Union of Jewish Students there. Having Graduated in 1977 from Kenyon College, he attended Hebrew Union College initially to pursue a Ph.D. before going into rabbinical studies. Following his graduation in 1983, Rabbi Lebow worked as an assistant rabbi at Temple Sinai in New Orleans where he worked primarily with teens and kids. He became the first permanent full-time rabbi at Temple Kol Emeth in 1986. Rabbi Lebow retired in 2020 from his position as Senior Rabbi at Temple Kol Emeth.
