Description
The Black Panther Intercommunal News Service was a nationally and internationally distributed periodical first published in 1967. The periodical was printed weekly and served as the official newspaper of the Black Panther Party until 1980, although it achieved its highest level of popularity between 1968 and 1972. The newspaper featured current events in the Black Panther Party's fight against racial oppression and highlighted the Party's values and service to the community. The newspaper also featured photographs, illustrations, and political cartoons.
