    Description
    Ahmad Hall was born in 1986 in Adairsville, Georgia. He grew up hearing stories about his great-great grandfather, William Arthur Butler, the town’s first black businessman, who opened a successful shoe shop during Reconstruction. Hall is a genealogist, a musician, and a member of the Downtown Development Authority. In his interview, he explains the history of his family in the community as well as preservation efforts in the historic downtown area.
