Description
Born in Ohio in 1926, Paula Fidler was in business school when she got a job as a stenographer for Air Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She was eventually transferred to a temporary top-secret position in St. Louis, where she worked in a vault taking shorthand for military officials who worked on the Manhattan Project to develop the atomic bomb. She recorded her oral history interview at Kennesaw State University in April 2017.
