dc.descriptionBorn in Ukraine in 1941, Hershel Greenblat spent the first two years of his life hiding in underground caves. His parents were resistance fighters who left him in the care of friends when they carried out attacks on the Nazis. After the war Greenblat’s family lived in a succession of displaced person camps before immigrating to the United States. Greenblat lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. He recorded his oral history interview at Kennesaw State University in July 2014.
