dc.descriptionBorn in 1918, Guy Gunter grew up in Atlanta, where he worked as a salesman for General Electric before World War II. In 1942 he completed glider pilot training and shipped out to North Africa. He piloted gliders during the invasions of Italy, France, and the Netherlands. After the war Gunter founded an appliance company in Atlanta. He recorded his oral history interview at Kennesaw State University in July 2014.
