dc.descriptionBorn in the East End of London in 1932, Alan Davies was evacuated to the English countryside during World War II because of German air raids. As an adult Davies worked for the Air Force Exchange Service on an American military base in Germany. After transferring to the United States with his job, Davies retired in 1993 and settled in Marietta, Georgia. He recorded his oral history interview at Kennesaw State University in May 2015.
