William Charles Harden Papers, 1955-2002
William Charles Harden was born January 14, 1915 in Irwin County, Georgia. After serving in World War II, he graduated from Georgia Tech in 1950 and from High Museum School of Art in Atlanta in 1953 as an interior decorator and he first worked as a draftsman and engineer for U.S. Homes in Marietta and later at Lockheed (Marietta) until 1973. Charles also held several community positions in Jasper, Georgia until the early 1990s, including architechtural instructor at Pickens County Community College. In 1992 he moved to the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, Maryland and died February 17, 2002.
