Ronald H. Matson has been a member of the Kennesaw State faculty since 1989. He has received a number of teaching and service awards, including an Outstanding Advisor Award in 2000 from the National Conference on Academic Advising. His administrative roles include serving as assistant chair of the biology department, 1993-2002; chair of the department, 2002-2010; and interim dean of the College of Science and Mathematics, 2010-2012. Since 2012, he has served in the provost’s office, first as associate vice president for faculty and currently as senior associate vice president for academic affairs. He also was interim provost from November 2018 to February 2019.
