A native of Atlanta, Kerwin Swint is professor of political science and director of the School of Government and International Affairs at Kennesaw State University. He was interim dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences from July 2018 to July 2019. Dr. Swint has written four books for academic and popular audiences on political campaigning and political history. The works focus on negative campaigning and on “king-whisperers,” the powers behind the throne in administrations throughout history. As a political expert, he appears often on radio and television and gives numerous interviews to local and national newspapers.
