dc.descriptionClara Mayes Maddox and Albert Mayes were born in the African American neighborhood of Louisville in Marietta, Georgia. They are longtime members of Zion Baptist Church, where Albert serves as a deacon. Clara worked for the Marietta Housing Authority in the 1960s.
