William G. Gisel was born on 1916 in Jamestown, New York. William Gisel is a former President of the Bell Aircraft Corporation. He started as a cashier in 1940 before moving up into the accounting department at Bell. As the plant grew William Grisel moved up and became chief accountant and controller. Around 1942 he moved down to Marietta to set up the payroll department and worked in Marietta until ’44. Mr. Gisel speaks about his time at Bell Aircraft and what it took to start the plant in Marietta.
Katherine Lee Gisel is also interviewed. Kartherine worked as Captain Collins's secretary. Captain Collins was the first general manager of the Bell Bomber plant. Katherine Gisel talks about peoples feelings of the bomber plant coming to Marietta and how it changed the area.
