DescriptionCharles Black was born in Miami, Florida and came to Morehouse College on an early admission scholarship. During the March 1960 demonstrations at the Georgia State Capitol and the Terminal Buss Station, he was arrested, along with 76 other students, and sent to the Atlanta Prison Farm for hard labor. He became one of the first student editors of The Atlanta Inquirer and later served as the co-chair of the Atlanta Student Movement.
