Looking Fly Archive
This digital collection documents the history of KSU and SPSU through t-shirts produced for campus groups, events, departments, and more. T-shirts are creative artifacts which document various aspects of campus life and are sometimes the only evidence that an event took place or an organization existed. Since space limitations prevent the KSU Archives from accepting many shirts, this project will use digital photography to document their existence and the campus life they reflect. The name “Looking Fly” was chosen to reference both the KSU Owl and the SPSU Hornet mascots, as one of the goals of this project is to bring together and preserve the history and culture of KSU’s two campuses.
This project is inspired by the UNC T-Shirt Archive and the Wearing Gay History project. For information on contributing images to this project, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
