Mr. Brown was administrator of Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, from 1971 until his retirement in 2001. He led Kennestone through several major building expansions and played a central role in the consolidation of Kennestone with other area hospitals to form the Northwest Georgia, WellStar, and Promina Health Systems. In retirement he serves on the WellStar Foundation Board of Trustees and has written several books, including Lessons Learned on the Way Down: A Perspective on Christian Leadership in a Secular World and Purpose in the Fourth Quarter: Finishing the Game of Life Victoriously.
