dc.descriptionMarion Thomas graduated from Perkinson Industrial High School in Marietta in 1948. Perkinson High School was originally named Marietta Industrial High School in 1929 and was the first black high school in Marietta. The school was renamed Lemon Street High School. The school was eventually closed in 1967 due to integration.en_US
