dc.descriptionPrior to his arrival at KSU, Dr. Harmon had headed accounting departments at Arizona State University West, Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He had also served as dean of the School of Management at Millsaps College. Since 2006, Dr. Harmon has served KSU as chair of the School of Accountancy (2006-09), dean of the Coles College of Business (2009-10), provost and vice president for academic affairs (2010-18), and interim president (February-July 2018). Under his leadership, the office of provost played a major role in expanding KSU’s international outreach. Dr. Harmon has also been actively engaged in the community as a lecturer on happiness and leadership and as a board member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the Town Center Community Alliance, Horizons Atlanta, the Cobb Community Foundation, and Cobb Superior Court’s Accountability Courts. In 2018 he returned to the Coles College as a professor of accounting.en_US
