dc.descriptionJiayan Zhang is a professor of history who joined the KSU faculty in 2004, the same year he earned a PhD from UCLA. Dr. Zhang was the 2016 recipient of KSU’s Outstanding Book Award for Coping with Calamity: Environmental Change and Peasant Response in Central China, 1736-1949 (UBC Press 2014).en_US
