Dr. Houston D. Davis served as interim president of Kennesaw State University from July 1, 2016 to October 31, 2016. In 2017 he became the president of the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to his presidency at KSU he had served from May 2012 to June 2016 as Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer at the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. He had also held a variety of administrative positions in the Tennessee and Oklahoma systems of higher education.
