From 1977 to 1997 Dr. Koger worked in admissions at a number of universities in the Midwest and Alabama. In 1997 he was hired at Southern Polytechnic State University as vice president for enrollment management. From 2000 to 2014 his duties expanded as reflected in his new title of vice president for student and enrollment services. He served as interim president of Southern Polytechnic State University from June 2014 until January 2015, when the consolidation of SPSU and KSU was completed. Since then, Dr. Koger has held the position at KSU of special assistant to the president for consolidation.
