Freeman served as president of the NAACP Cobb County Branch from 1982 until 1986. The scrapbook contains photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, handwritten notes and memos, etc. These materials provide a rich and unique look into the civil rights issues that African Americans faced in Cobb County during the 1980s.en_US
