Description
James W. (Jim) Cooper began his career at Southern Polytechnic State University as the director of student recruitment in 1997. For the next seventeen years, he held a number of key administrative positions at Southern Poly with responsibilities for recruitment, marketing, alumni relations, and sustainability. At the time of the consolidation with Kennesaw State University, he was the Assistant Vice President for University Communication. Cooper was a member of the consolidation implementation committee and was responsible for producing a film on the history of SPSU entitled, The Five Eras of Southern Polytechnic State University. With the completion of the consolidation, he moved to the Kennesaw campus with the title of Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations and Advancement Communications.
