| dc.description | <p>Charles W. Hofer was the Regents' Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Professor of Management at Kennesaw State University from 2007 until his retirement in 2014. He received a doctorate in Strategy from the Harvard Business School in 1969. Prior to joining the Kennesaw State University faculty, Dr. Hofer taught at the Singapore Institute of Management, Northwestern University, Stanford University, Columbia University, New York University, and the University of Georgia. In 1992, he was made a Regents' Professor, an honor that the Board of Regents grants to a few exceptional professors at research universities. Dr. Hofer was permitted to retain the title when he joined the faculty at Kennesaw State University.</p> <p>He has written a number of books and articles, some of which were recognized as the most significant works in the field of Strategic Management. In 2007, Fortune Small Business magazine listed Dr. Hofer as among the Top 18 Entrepreneurship professors in the United States. During his time at Kennesaw State, he worked primarily with the MBA program, where his new venture creation students won numerous national competitions and launched several promising new firms.</p> | en_US |
