Description
Dr. Martha F. Bowden is a professor of English, with a focus on eighteenth-century studies. She joined the faculty at Kennesaw State University in 1992 and is the 2013 recipient of the KSU Foundation Distinguished Professor Award. Dr. Bowden received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1981. She is the author of Yorick's congregation: The Church of England in the time of Laurence Sterne (2007) and the editor of a collection of Mary Davys novels (1999). Dr. Bowden served two terms as president of the Southeastern American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and as the president of the Aphra Behn Society for Women in the Arts.
