Description
Professor Ming Chen is the 2015 recipient of the KSU Foundation Distinguished Research Award in Artistic and Creative Activities. She is a native of Shanghai, China and received her BFA and MFA degrees from Shanghai Theatre Academy. She also earned an MA in theatrical production from the University of Pittsburgh. During the 1990-91 school year she served on the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo. Since 1991 she has been a professor of theatre and performance studies at KSU. She has directed or co-directed a number of cultural exchange programs, and she serves as KSU's resident theatrical designer. Her book, Visual Literacy for Theatre, was published in 2011.
