The Grogan Family Collection is a digital collection of photographs and ephemera documenting two generations of family members descended from Mollie Grogan (1847 - 1921) and Richard Grogan (1844 - 1910) of Marietta, Georgia. The collection includes digitized photographs of individual family members and several digitized paper documents such as correspondence and event programs. The collection serves as a snapshot of African American life during the twentieth century and shows the longevity of the Grogan family in Cobb County, Georgia. The digital images were donated by Mrs. Virginia Standifer, a great-granddaughter of Richard and Mollie Grogan.
The digitized materials presented here are digital surrogates of select materials. All original photographs are retained by the donor and are not physically held at the Kennesaw State University Archives and Special Collections.
Copyright is retained by the authors of items in these papers, or their descendants, as stipulated by United States copyright law. Permission to publish, reproduce, publicly display, broadcast, or distribute this material must be secured from the repository and/or copyright holder.
