dc.descriptionA selection of clips from an oral history interview with Mr. Fred D. Bentley Sr. conducted on March 25, 2011. In the first clip Mr. Bentley Sr. discusses the genesis of his book collecting efforts, which involved the first appearance of Oliver Twist published in Bentley’s Miscellany. The second clip covers the original purpose of the rare book room and provides some details of its creation. The third clip Mr. Bentley addresses the décor of the rare book room, talks about one of his favorite pieces, and discusses the overall pride he feels over the space.
