Historic Black Acworth Image Collection
Developed by the Special Projects unit in the Department of Museums, Archives and Rare Books with the support of Acworth residents and community members in summer 2020, the Historic Black Acworth Image Collection is a digital image collection that includes photographs, letters, and documents created by Black residents of Acworth, Georgia, from the 1860s to the 2010s. Shared for digitization by current Acworth residents and former residents, who live in the Atlanta Metro area, images in the collection contributed to the "Our Side of the Tracks" exhibit opened at Doyal Hill Park in Acworth in fall 2020.
