Interview with Dr. Susie W. Wheeler, a African American native of Bartow County whose work in the education system helped integrate the Bartow County schools in 1968.
Interview with Dr. Susie W. Wheeler, a African American native of Bartow County. Dr. Wheeler was the daughter of a tenant farmer and a laundress. She went on to work in education and helped integrate the Bartow County school system in 1968. She later obtained a doctoral degree in 1978 and helped established the Noble Hill Wheeler Memorial in Bartow County.
