dc.descriptionAdrijana was born in Mostar, Bosnia Herzegovina in 1980. Adrijana was 12 when fighting broke out in Yugoslavia and bore witness to the conflict and genocide as it began to unfold in her city. She arrived in Syracuse, New York when she was 14 and moved to Georgia after turning 16 as her father hated the cold. Adrijana went on to follow a career in education where she is still incredibly active to this day.
